Pure Raw Honey

Seasonal, Varietal, Herbal Infused, and Naturally Granulated Honey.

Our honey is 100% pure, raw honey; never pasteurized or high-pressure filtered. This is important as it retains the enzymes, trace vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, antibacterial properties, and natural taste and aroma of the honey. We are committed to producing the finest quality honey.

Eating local honey is often eaten in attempt to reduce symptoms of allergies, as consuming traces of pollen in the honey may decrease the impact of airborne pollen.  We extract our honey three times during the year:  Late Spring, Mid-Summer, and in the Fall.  This allows for seasonal variations in the color and taste of the honey, bringing out distinct floral flavors and aromas that are representative of Central Ohio wildflowers.  Each season brings a different type of honey as the nectar flow changes.

Pure Raw Chunk Honey Half Pint - 10 ounces

$8.00

Chunk honey is raw honeycomb straight from the beehive, covered in raw liquid honey. We harvest a chunk of pure raw comb directly from the hive and immerse it in Summer honey. The delicate wax can be eaten – spread on toast, biscuits, fruit, sandwiches – or eat it plain, as a wholesome candy. Our Summer honey was harvested from the Deer Creek Valley of Pickaway County in August. A delicate flavor that is sprightly sweet, yet mild. This listing is for a 10 ounce half pint glass jar.

Honeyrun Farm produces pure, raw honey from Williamsport, Ohio. Our honey is never pasteurized or high-pressure filtered, so it retains all the vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and antibacterial properties that raw honey is known for. All raw honey (honey fresh from the beehive) will granulate (get cloudy and thick) in time. This is natural, and does not mean the honey has "gone bad", as honey does not spoil. Simply heat the container in a hot pot of water to re-liquify. We recommend not heating it over 100 degrees to prevent the loss of flavor, enzymes, and nutritional benefits.
